About Us
Carolina Thomas, founder of Presidio Dawson LLC, is a digital marketing and social media strategist with more than 15 years of experience helping global brands and mission-driven organizations connect with audiences and grow their digital presence. Over the course of her career, she has led social media and digital campaigns for major institutions and consumer brands, translating complex ideas into content that reaches and resonates with millions of people.
Carolina most recently served as Social Media Manager at the Gates Foundation, where she helped lead global social strategy across flagship channels with more than six million followers. During her time there, she grew the organization’s social audience by nearly 30% and helped drive transformational performance gains, including a 312% increase in average impressions and a 380% increase in video views year over year.
Earlier in her career, Carolina held social media leadership roles at USAA, Otter Products (Otterbox + Lifeproof), and Khoros (formerly Spredfast), where she developed integrated campaigns, built influencer programs, and helped brands navigate major cultural and business moments online. Through her consulting work with Presidio Dawson, she now partners with mission-driven organizations to strengthen their digital strategy, elevate their storytelling, and build strategies for long-term audience growth.
